Plant your Orange Rocket Barberry in full sun to part shade. These hardy shrubs are adaptable to just about any soil that drains well. After planting be sure to water deeply 1-2 times per week in order for the roots to grow properly. Once established this shrub is drought tolerant and extremely low maintenance.
Watering is generally only needed in periods of extreme drought. Applying 2-3 inches of mulch will help protect the roots in extreme temperatures and keep the soil moist. There is no need to prune this shrub. However, if you prefer a manicured look, prune in winter. Fertilize with our balanced, slow release fertilizer in spring. This Barberry is salt, pollution, heat, and cold tolerant. It is also disease and pest(rabbit and deer) resistant.
